Governors State University is a participant in the Illinois Articulation Initiative agreement but does not offer any classes that can be applied to the transferable Illinois General Education Core Curriculum. It offers upper-division baccalaureate programs only. Since students are admitted as juniors, the university grants general education credit for the completion of the transferable Illinois General Education Core Curriculum completed before admission.
