On December 1, 1970, the Illinois Board of Higher Education adopted the following
resolution:

Chicago State University |
Completion of the transferable General Education Core Curriculum, or completion
of the A.A. or A.S. degree, at any participating college or university in Illinois
assures transferring students that the University general education requirements
for the bachelor’s degree have been satisfied. Chicago State University may,
however require admitted transfer students to complete College-specific or program-specific
graduation requirements which are beyond the scope of IAI. |

Eastern Illinois University |
Students transferring to Eastern who have received an Associate in Arts (AA), Associate
in Sciences (AS), or Associate in Science and Arts (ASA) degree in a baccalaureate-oriented
program from an Illinois public community college, Lincoln College or Springfield
College in Illinois and/or students transferring from any Illinois university or
college who have completed the Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI) General Education
Core Curriculum (GECC) are considered as having met lower-division general education
requirements. This provision is applicable to student who meet all of the following
criteria:
1.Their initial term of enrollment at Eastern was summer 1982 or thereafter;
2. Their cumulative Eastern GPA is 2.00 or higher.

Governors State University
|
The general education requirement at Governors State University provides graduates
with a broad foundation in the liberal arts and sciences. All undergraduate degree-seeking
students are required to meet the university general education requirements before
graduation. Students may fulfill this requirement in any of four ways:
1. Transfer to Governors State University having earned and A.A. or A.S.A degree
from a regionally- accredited Illinois community college. Please note: the Associate
of Fine Arts (AFA), Associate of Engineering Sciences (AES), the proposed Associate
of Physical Science (APS) and the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) do not meet
this requirement.

Illinois State University
|
Students who transfer with a completed baccalaureate-oriented associates degree
(A.A. or A.S.) from a regionally accredited post secondary institution are considered
to have satisfied Illinois State University's General Education Program requirements. |

Northeastern Illinois University |
Beginning with admission to the Fall 1993 semester, students graduating with an
approved ICCB (Illinois Community College Board) Model A.A. or A.S. degree prior
to transferring will be granted junior standing and will have fulfilled Northeastern
Illinois University's General Education requirements. |

Northern Illinois University |
A graduate of an Illinois public community college who has not previously attended
Northern Illinois University and who has completed a baccalaureate-oriented A.A.
or A.S. degree will be admitted to NIU. The student will enter with junior standing
and all NIU general education requirements will be considered complete if the student
has the following qualifications prior to enrolling at NIU.
1. An Associate in Art (A.A.) or an Associate in Science (A.S.) degree in a baccalaureate-oriented
program from an Illinois public community college.
2. At least a C average (2.00 on a 4.00 scale) as calculated by the community college
3. At least 60 hours of credit
4. Good standing at the last college attended.
An Illinois public community college graduate with an Associate in Engineering Science
or an Associate in Fine Arts degree is eligible for admission to NIU but is not
eligible for the benefits indicated above.
An Illinois public community college graduate with an Associate in Applied Science,
an Associate in General Studies, or an Associate in Liberal Studies degree is not
eligible for the benefits indicated above. These students will receive the same
consideration for admission as other transfer students.

Southern Illinois University- Carbondale |
Completion of an Associate degree in a baccalaureate-oriented program (A.A. or A.S.)
from an accredited Illinois public two-year institution. The student will: (a) be
admitted with junior standing and, (b) be considered to have completed the University
Core Curriculum requirements required for general graduation purposes; |

Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville |
SIU-E is a participant in the Illinois Articulation Initiative. Completion of the
General Education Core Curriculum at any participating college or University in
Illinois assures transferring students that lower-division general education requirements
for a bachelor’s degree have been satisfied. This agreement became effective
for students transferring to SIU-E on or after summer 1998. |

Western Illinois University |
A.A. and A.S. Degree Graduates - All Illinois public community colleges, the Eastern
Iowa Community College District, Southeastern Community College of Iowa, Springfield
College in Illinois, and Lincoln College possess a written articulation commitment
(compact agreement) from Western Illinois University. Additional agreements are
being developed with other public and private schools in Illinois and Iowa. |

University of Illinois Springfield |
Applicants holding an Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, or Associate in Arts
and Sciences from a regionally accredited college or university are admissible as
juniors and are considered to have met the general education requirements.
