Changes
and Upgrades
We are continually striving to improve the iTransfer
site. If you have suggestions, comments, or questions, please share
them with us. You can email us at iTransfer@itransfer.org, or use our
handy online feedback form.
You may notice that we have added channels across the
top of the page beneath the banner that identify Students,
Faculty, and Advisors.
We are working at customizing these channels to provide links that would
be used regularly by our various constituents. If you have suggestions
for items for any of the pages, please let
us know. We have tried to provide some advisement related links
on the Faculty page as well as information for faculty working on our
IAI panels.
As the months go by, you may notice new content in addition
to those listed here. If you like our changes or have any other suggestions
about any new material on or that can be added to the site, we'd appreciate
the moment you take to let us know. We thank you for taking the time
to review the site and providing feedback. Watch for exciting changes
to come!

The deadline for spring review is February 15th. You can submit your
courses to the IAI panels, both GECC and the majors, on the website through
our handy web
form.
Please submit documents in pdf or .doc (not .docx) format for ease of
reviewing on a variety of computer set-ups for panel members. The staff
is working at creating a process that will automatically convert documents
to pdf's but this will come with our next systems upgrade. In the mean
time, your assistance is much appreciated by both your IAI staff and the
panel members.
We strongly encourage submitters to work with the Transfer
Coordinators and official IAI Contact at their institution. This will
ensure all documentation necessary for reviewing is submitted and that
the Panel
Related Documentation page is consulted prior to submission. When
a complete package is received by the panel for review, it is much easier
for the panel members to not only look at the material but also approve
the course.
Please let us know if you have any questions, concerns, or need help
with the submission process. We can be reached at 309-438-8640 or by email
at iai@itransfer.org.

The u.select staff have received questions on whether the hiring freeze
at the University of Illinois effects the search for the u.select Coordinator
position. Because the u.select project is funded primarily through a
grant from the Illinois Board of Higher Education, u.select is allowed
to proceed with filling the vacancy.
The search for a new Project Coordinator for u.select Illinois has
been extended to January 29, 2010 to allow additional applicants to
be considered. Please refer to the attached Position Posting and apply
online at https://uajobs.hr.uillinois.edu/.

Overhaulin'
the 5 Year Review Process
The IAI staff and panel faculty members are working hard at improving
the processes for the 5 year review. We are working to automate much
of it and put the information online.
Our hope is to streamline the process and keep our participating institutions
more informed about what's needed throughout the process as well as
better communications about deadlines, time frames, and which panels
are reviewing. We hope to have our internal processes for the new system
worked out and ready for deployment in the next few months.
We are excited to help the panel members, our participating institutions,
and the IAI staff work through a challenging process. We will let you
know when it ready for viewing and use. As always, your comments and
feedback are welcome. Please feel free to call or email
with any information you'd like to share.
