Sociology
To transfer as a junior into a baccalaureate sociology program, students must complete
a minimum of 60 semester credits. Community and junior college students are strongly
encouraged to complete an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree prior
to transfer. Freshmen and sophomores who plan to major in sociology are encouraged
to complete additional foundation courses (including courses in the social and behavioral
sciences) and mathematics. The number of sociology courses should be minimized.
Be sure to consult the institution you plan on transferring to for course articulations.
